Before retiring in December of 2023, Tommy spent more than 25 years in the field of immigration law, representing clients from more than 55 countries and nearly 30 states.
Tommy’s work for organizations included counseling corporations on immigration-related worksite enforcement and compliance considerations, advising academic institutions on visa matters, and representing Fortune 500 clients in the transfers of high-level executive and technical personnel to positions in related U.S. entities.
His work for families included uniting relatives on the basis of marriage, parental or sibling relationships, receiving approvals for cases involving Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and garnering U.S. citizenship for both employment and family-based candidates. Tommy also served the immigrant community through his pro bono work, as well as through the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Since 2015, Tommy held an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale Hubbell. He was recognized yearly, starting in 2011, by the International Who’s Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers. Tommy is fluent in Spanish and holds dual citizenship in the United States and Mexico.
